Toolbox in BIDS or SSIS Toolbox in SSDT

This article explains us about Toolbox in BIDS / SSIS Toolbox in SSDT

Applies to both BIDS and SSDT. 

Toolbox in BIDS / SSIS Toolbox in SSDT is a collection of all the tasks used in SSIS package.

Open SSISStudy / SSISStudy2012 project. In BIDS on the left side, we should see Toolbox and in SSDT, we should see SSIS Toolbox. Hover mouse over it.

 

In BIDS, if Toolbox is not already open in the SSIS package, open by selecting View -> Toolbox.

In SSDT, if SSIS Toolbox is not already open in the SSIS package, open by right clicking on the Control Flow area and selecting SSIS Toolbox.

Toolbox and SSIS Toolbox list all the Tasks in SSIS package. In BIDS, we can choose to show more tasks or hide existing tasks. Right click on the Toolbox area and select

• Show All to list all the Tasks in SSIS.

• Choose Items to select the Tasks in SSIS. The selected Tasks will show in the Toolbox area.
