Open SSIS Project in BIDS or SSDT

This article explains different ways to open existing MS SSIS 2008/2012 project.

Applies to both BIDS and SSDT project.

If the project SSISStudy / SSISStudy2012 created earlier is not open, we can open by clicking on BIDS / SSDT in the taskbar. The project created will be listed under the most recent projects.

We can also open the project from within BIDS / SSDT by selecting File -> Open -> Project/Solution… and then browse to the location where the project was saved earlier. Select SSISStudy.sln / SSISStudy.sln and click Open.

We can also open the project by clicking on the .sln file. From the location where the project was saved earlier, search for SSISStudy.sln / SSISStudy2012.sln file and double click on it to open the project.
